Company Profile – Holistique Learning

Radio is one of the major medium used by the people of the 20th century. Even today, if one visits rural India, they will get a glimpse of the foregone world. The period from 1925-1950, witnessed the Golden Age of Radio, when one of the major activities of households was to listen to the radio, together in the evening. These included news, entertaining songs and various other shows about general knowledge.

Keeping the importance of Radio in perspective, on November 3rd, 2011, UNESCO declared February 13th as the day when World Radio Day will be celebrated across the world annually. The purpose of which is to celebrate Radio as a medium and the assistance it has provided in the 20th century.

In India, the World Radio Day coincides with the birthday of Sarojini Naidu. She was a freedom fighter and a poet, garnering the sobriquet of Nightingale of India. The major themes of her poems included poetry for children, nature, nation and love and death.

Moreover, her personal life was an ideal example of Indianness without any class or caste boundaries. Therefore, the present generation is expected to attain knowledge about the excellent deeds undertaken by Naidu and learn from her personal and well as professional life. Students from a young age are in need of positive role models. Consequently, it becomes only natural to celebrate the greatness of Naidu in order to inculcate similar freedom and impartial values among them.

We at Hoslistique Learning utilizes various methods to help students celebrate the world’s path to technological advancements and the philosophical values of our great Bharat Kokila with the help of 20-25 minutes assemblies. Through assemblies, students can participate in Sarojini Naidu Activities related to the development of radio and independence movement of our nation.
